The Burnsville Breakfast Rotary Club had their new District Governor, Marianna Khauv, speak at our Oct. 28th. business meeting at the Original Pancake House. Marianna shared how she and her husband ended up in Cambridge, MN., and opening a restaurant, and later a hotel as immigrants from Taiwan. Marianna has been an active member of the Cambridge Club of District 5950 for many years, and her visit to our club was her 48th. visit of a total of 67 clubs in her new role. She also shared the fact that there have been only two reported cases of polio in the world in 2021, with one each being in Pakistan and Afghanistan. This is great news that Rotary International is nearing its goal of eliminating polio worldwide which is one of their top priorities. Picture compliments of JA Gregg Photography.
