The Burnsville Breakfast Rotary Club and spouses volunteered for the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event on Monday, 1/24/22 held at Berean Baptist Church. Feed My Starving Children is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to helping alleviate hunger in some of the most food-insecure areas of the world. FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive, and develop to their full potential. It is estimated that 6,200 children die every day from causes related to undernutrition which is heartbreaking!

As part of Rotary's mission statement to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through our fellowship, the Burnsville Breakfast Rotary Club donated $1,000 and volunteer hours to help support the mission of FMSC. The check was presented to Ms. Heather Hecht-Developement Director from FMSC after the event.

During the Monday evening packing session, the volunteers from many clubs, church groups, scouting groups, and individuals packed 296 boxes of food that will provide 63,936 meals which will feed 175 children for one year! A fun time was had by all!
