How is the meeting invocation chosen? Who sits on our club's board of directors? People have plenty of questions about Rotary--people including our new members. In an effort to better welcome and educate our newest Rotarians, a small committee has tackled the idea of improving our New Member Orientation process. Part of that is organizing a regular happy hour that focuses specifically on our new members. In an effort to reach out to our neighboring Rotary clubs, we've invited several of them to join us for our first-ever: New Member Happy Hour Monday, Jan. 21 All members inducted in 2012 (or 2013!) are specifically invited -- bring your spouse, partner, friends or co-workers and be sure to ask questions of current members. This will give you an opportunity to meet club members on a more casual basis and learn more about who we are and what we do. We welcome current Rotarians, too -- come equipped to share your "Rotary Story" and get to know our newest club members in a way that's not always possible at regular club meetings.
