Our speaker today was Gina Lindquist, Executive Director at the nonprofit 'The Drawer'. The Drawer is our newest grant recipient. Gina shared with us the critical and growing need for new socks and underwear for the homeless and underprivileged. The Drawer acts as a middleman. They purchase in bulk, break the big packs into manageable 3-packs and then distribute the clothes to other charities. Those charities in turn distribute the clothes to those in need.
The club donated $1,000 to their cause.
